Visa  to Hong Kong and Macao

I: Visa to Hong Kong:

There are more than one hundred countries and regions of which people enjoy a visa-free period for visit in Hong Kong for fun or for general business purposes. For the detailed information, Please visit The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region - Immigration Department

l Danish citizen (holding a Danish passport, not Danish Travel document or alien passports) enjoys a visa-free period of up to 3 months for a visit in Hong Kong for fun or for general business purposes. But for the purpose of education, employment, training, investment, residence or Working Holiday scheme, Danish citizen do need a visa and they are advised to contact the Immigration Department of HKSAR and apply for the visa directly. l For the citizen of other countries, please visit the web site of HKSAR at http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4.htm to check whether they need a visa or not. If they need a visa, please come to the Embassy and present the following documents to apply for visa:

l Original and copy of passport

l One completely filled application form for Hong Kong Visa(Download here)

l One recent passport-size photo

l Original and copy of Danish residence permit or visa

l Financial support documents

l Travel schedule

l Other documents required according to different countries and different purposes of visit.

For the purpose of education, employment, training, investment, residence or Working Holiday scheme, they are advised to contact the Immigration Department of HKSAR and apply for the visa directly. l It takes 5 working days to process the visa if the issuance is within the authorization of the Embassy. And in this case, express service is available for the 2nd or 3rd day with extra fees charged accordingly.

l Please be noted, the embassy doesn't accept mail-in visa application to HK. They have to submit their application to the embassy in person.

l Visa fee to HK is 250 Danish kr.

II: Visa to Macao:

At present, there are about 36 countries of which people enjoy a visa-free period for visit in Macao for fun or for general business purposes. For some countries of which people need visas, they can apply for it at the airport while arriving at Macau.
