For the convenience of the Danish people living far away from Copenhagen and wishing to apply Chinese visa by mail, the consular section of the Embassy can accept mail application for visa. However the Applicants must make sure that they meet the rules and regulation regarding visa application and be aware of the possible risk on the way of post.
The applicants must complete the application form clearly and completely in either Chinese or English, and make sure the following are enclosed in his/her application before sending:
1) A completed and duly signed application form without any unanswered questions; makd sure that you leave your valid mobile number so we can call you in case of need.
2) The original passport and one recent photo;
3) Visa fee (Check with other information) and mail handling service fee 50 DK (Please note it has nothing to do with stamps). Only cash or check / cheque is accepted for payment;
4) A self-addressed envelop for us to return. It is strongly suggested you put enough stamps for Recommended letter (Please check how much with post office);
5) Other necessary documents must be attached to the application if applying for business purposes, such as an invitation letter from the Chinese partner, a business letter from the head company in Denmark, or contractor; a Visa Notice Form* from the Chinese authorized organizations,
6) Return air-ticket hotel reservation confirmation for tourists;
7) For foreign passport holders or Danish Travel Document and Alien Passport holders, they must provide additional information, such as valid Danish visa or permanent residence permit, and its copy. Please note that the visa fee is different from Danish citizens (Check other information);
8) Any missing information mentioned above will delay our processing or may result in refusal of the visa.
9) The applicants must be aware that the Embassy can not and will not bare any responsibility regarding the loss and damage of your passport or money in your mail to the Embassy and from the embassy back to you.
* Visa Notice Form can be obtained through application from the relevant government offices (such as Municipal or Provincial Foreign Affairs Office (FAO), Education Bureau, Foreign Trade & Commerce Bureau, etc. in China) authorized by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Please check with the FAO in a local City or Province for how you can apply for this form.
