China's National Day (Oct. 1st) this year will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. To better facilitate foreign media’s reporting, a Press Center will be established. It will be located in the Media Center Hotel (11 Yi, Fuxing Road, Xicheng District, Beijing), and is scheduled to open on September 22.
Foreign journalists on a temporary assignment to cover the event in China are supposed to register online at the following link: http://foreignjournalists.fmprc.gov.cn/Foreignjournalists/
The deadline for the registration is August 23rd, 2009.
In the meantime, please fill in the Media Application Form and the Equipment Declaration Form downloaded from the following link:

Please have these two forms signed and sealed by the person in charge of the media organization, and then submit them as well as application materials for short term journalist visa to the Chinese Embassy.
