Ambassador Deng Ying attends activities of Vice-President of the Supreme People's Court Mr. Zhang Shuyuan's visit to Denmark

From 27th to 30th September, The delegation led by Vice-President of the Supreme People's Court, Mr. Zhang Shuyuan, visited Denmark on the invitation of the Supreme Court of Denmark. Ambassador Deng Ying attended related activities of the delegation.

On 28th September, Ambassador Deng, accompanying Mr. Zhang Shuyuan, met and held talk with the President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Thomas Rørdam, marking the first face-to-face exchange between senior officials of the two supreme courts since 2001. Mr. Zhang Shuyuan gave introduction to China's progress in its trial system and judicial reform. He expressed the willingness to further judicial exchanges between China and Denmark, contributing to rule of law. Mr. Rørdam commended China's progress in legal system construction especially in terms of judicial reform, and agreed with Mr. Zhang Shuyuan in pushing forward judicial exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

On 30th September, Ambassador Deng received Mr. Zhang Shuyuan and the delegation members at the Embassy, where Mr. Zhang highlighted the judicial measures taken these years in service of diplomatic overall needs. They also exchanged views on law-based governance and judicial reform.

During their stay in Denmark, Mr. Zhang Shuyuan and delegation members visited the Danish Court Administration, where they had in-depth discussion on court-related management.
